David Ray Gallegos, age 57, of D'Hanis, currently residing in San Angelo, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. Born July 26, 1955, in Hondo, he was the son of David C. and Beatrice (Rodriguez) Gallegos. A 1973 graduate of D'Hanis High School, he was a traction technician. He had retired from General Tire, but continued to work with Juan Lopez Traction. David is preceded in death by his father. Survivors are his mother, Beatrice Gallegos of D'Hanis; son, David Ray Gallegos II and wife Leslie; granddaughter, Sandra Nayeli, all of Von Ormy; and grandson, Alex Gallegos of Laredo. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis.
