On Jan. 17, Our Heavenly Father called home his son, David Treviño, age 84, of D'Hanis. He was born Oct. 21, 1927, in D'Hanis, the son of Ernesto Treviño and Brigida (Ibarra) Treviño, who preceded him in death. Survivors are his loving wife of 58 years, Paula (Garcia) Trevino; daughters, Bertha Hernandez and husband Joe of San Antonio, Elva Treviño of D'Hanis and Sophie Campos of Hondo; grandchildren, Anna Lisa Hernandez, Alexia Campos Kailipaka and husband Carl, Rosa Linda Hernandez, Jose David Hernandez, Andrew Campos; step-great-grandson, Kawika Kailipaka; sisters, Hortencia Campbell, Eudelia Sosa and Dora Alderete and husband Felix, all of San Antonio; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. David enlisted in the U. S. Army and served his country from 1946 until 1951. He worked for Universal Rundle and retired in 1991 after 38 years of service. David was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and had been an active member of the Caballeros de San Jose. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 20, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, D'Hanis. Pallbearers were Arturo Campos, Rudy Ibarra, Jay Alderete, Victor Garcia, Alan Lozano, Rudolph R. Hernandez, Alberto Morales, Alberto A. Fernandez, and Ramon Gonzales. Interment was in San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis. The family extends their thanks to Dr. John Meyer and Dr. David Friedman for their loving care.
