Obituary

Deacon Richard Allen Edminson, Jr. of San Antonio, formerally of Hondo, left this life to be with the Lord in Heaven on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
He was born on August 27, 1959, in San Antonio, the son of Richard Sr. and Mary Edminson.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carole Jones Edminson, and his son, Trever Gower.
He is survived by his parents; brother John Edminson (Shelly) of Georgia; children, Richard Edminson III (Maria C.) of Tucson AZ, Jennifer Edminson, Lara Saenz (Clint), Grace Edminson, Sarah Borden (Matt Petry), Jason Gower, all of San Antonio. He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Richard was proud of his services to the surrounding communities as a Deacon and his service with the ACTS retreat.
Richard worked very hard and was dedicated to his family and friends.
Visitation is on Thursday, Dec. 1st, and will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hondo. Services will conclude at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
