Deborah Annette Rodriguez-Furnish, age 37, of Hondo passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Torrance, CA, April 7, 1969, a daughter of Rami Naftali Rodriguez, Sr. and Erlinda Sarabia Rodriguez. Her father preceded in death. She is survived by her husband, Dennis James Furnish; sons, Justin Christopher Sumy, Joshua Christopher Sumy, and Anthony James Furnish; daughters, Jasmine Crystal Sumy and Justine Crystal Sumy; mother, Erlinda Sarabia Rodriguez Guerrero and stepfather, Jose Guerrero; step-mother, Robin Rodriguez of CA; brother, Rami Naftali Rodriguez Jr.; and sister, Yesenia Marie Guerrero; the father of four of her children John Christopher Sumy and his wife Susan Kimbrell of Hondo. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, both at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Wallis Stiles will be officiating at both services. Interment will be in Yancey Cemetery.
