Dennis J Hosbach age 71 of Creekwood, Hondo, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013. Born July 11, in Saginaw, MI, he was the son of John E. Hosbach and Ann Morgan Hosbach who precede him in death. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard, where he served as an electronic technician. He worked in the electronic field the remainder of his employment, with NCR and Kmart. He was proud of the fact that he became a licensed HAM radio operator at the age of 15, and remained so for his entire life. He dabbled in photography and enjoyed the process of taking pictures, developing and enlarging chosen pictures. He enjoyed his morning coffee with friends and the Sunday crossword puzzle. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan Hosbach; was exceedingly proud of his sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy J. Hosbach of Austin and Thomas D. Hosbach and wife Barbara of Boerne; and loved his grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle and Lindsey Hosbach of Boerne. He is also survived by his sisters, Cathy Hosbach of Brighton MI and Marilyn Love of East Lansing MI, and brothers, Ted Hosbach of Hubert NC and John Hosbach of Lansing MI. The family will celebrate Dennis' life with a private memorial at a later date. The family suggests memorials may be made to the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary or the American Radio Relay League.
