Domingo Corona of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2006, at the age of 80. He was born in Uvalde, Texas, April 25, 1926, the son of Sabino & Luisa (Ozuna) Corona. He is preceded in death by his parents; son Daniel Corona; brothers Vicente Corona, Juanito Corona, Juan Corona; sister Enemencia Barron, Trinidad Ramirez. Domingo is survived by his wife Rita (Esquivel) Corona; daughter Maria Rita Mares and husband Roberto; son Fernando Corona, Sr and wife Amalie; daughter Anita coz Santana and companion Rudy Gonzales; son Jaime Corona, Sr.; daughter Cruz Miller and husband Larry; daughter Inez Morales and husband Andy; son Francisco Corona and wife Dorothy all of Hondo; 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; sisters Narcisa Vela of Hondo, Paula Castillo of MI. The Rosary was at 7:00 p.m on Tuesday October 17 at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass was Wednesday, October 18, 2:00 p.m. at the St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Jon D. "Chubbs" Corona, Roberto "Clato" Mares, Jr., Guz Cardenas, Jimmy Lopez, Juan J. Corona, Arnold Guajardo. Burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
