Domingo "Mingo" Palomo, age 70, of Sabinal passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. Born June 27, 1943, in Hondo, he was the son of Fernando and Margarita (Tapia) Palomo. Mingo had worked in receiving at WalMart and as a kiln operator at Universal Rundle. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Miguel, Felix, Antonio, and Tomas Palomo; and sisters, Anita and Juanita Palomo. He is survived by his son, Ricky Palomo and Domingo Palomo Jr., both of San Antonio; brothers, Ascencion "Chon" Palomo of Hondo, Marcelino Palomo of San Antonio and Ramon Palomo of Seguin; and sisters, Guadalupe "Lupe" Rico and Antonia Fernandez, both of Bandera, Martina Garza of Houston, Rose Gardner of Liverpool TX, Delia Angel of Cocoa FL, and Sandra Palomo of Houston. Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 30, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section. Pallbearers are Pedro V. Garza, Felix Palomo Jr., Fernando Palomo, Ariel Palomo, Mike Palomo and Anthony Palomo.
