Domingo Javier Sauceda Jr, age 20, of Hondo passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, after having been diagnosed with cancer. He was born Jan. 25, 1988, the son of Domingo and Gloria (Escamilla) Sauceda. Domingo was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maria Escamilla and Juan and Victoria Sauceda. He is survived by his parents; sisters, Becky Sauceda and husband Sergio Leyva and Liz Martinez and husband Jerry Moncada; five nieces and nephews; and grandfather, Thomas Escamilla, all of Hondo. Rosary will be recited Friday, Dec. 5, 7 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel and Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fr. Ken Dakin officiated. Pallbearers were Joshua Quintanilla, Ernye Escamilla, Joe Alex "Rambo" Quintanilla, Jonathan Lopez, Mikey Gonzales, Jimmy Gonzales, Sergio Leyva, and Jesse Oranday. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
