Donald Duane "Frenchy" French, Jr. of Hondo, Texas, passed away February 5, 2006, at the age of 61, in Hondo. He was born September 17, 1944, in San Antonio, the son of Donald D. & Dorothy (Cain) French. Don was the owner of Frenchy's Beverage Barn in Hondo and Castroville. He also served in the U.S. Army and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his parents. Don is survived by his wife Phyllis A. (Hahnel) French of Hondo; son Tulley C. French and wife Jodie of Dunley; daughters Michelle Y. Bailey and husband Jimmy of Yancey, Trisha L. Kilhorn and husband Scott of Hondo; grandchildren Mathew French, Colten Bailey, Jacob Bailey, Hayley Kilhorn. The Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Service, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday February 9, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo. The casketcarriers were Robert G. Weyel, Clyde Faseler, Doug Reed, Victor Tschirgi, Russell J. Hahnel, Billy R. Spivey. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
