Donald Francis Durant, age 80, of the Hondo/D'Hanis SKP Park passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012. Born July 9, 1932, in South Grafton, Massachusetts, he was the son of Francis and Lena (Desmarias) Durant. Retiring as a master sergeant, he served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, during the Korean and Viet Nam wars. He also worked as a sales representative for 7-Up and McCormick-Schilling. Don is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Durant. He is survived by his wife, Mabel (Stevenson) Durant; daughters, Deborah L. Norris and husband Charles of Oro Valley AZ, Donna J. Cooper and husband Lloyd of Vernon, and Susan E. Shepherd and husband Larry of Severn MD; son, John S. Durant and wife Marilyn of Fairfield CA; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra M. McKee of Nebraska; brother, James Pouliot of Las Vegas; and sister-in-law, Josephine Durant of the SKP Coop. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio. Pallbearers are John Durant, Tyler Reguera, Msgt. J. P.
