Dorothy Lee Beard of Hondo, Texas, passed away March 9, 2006, at the age of 60, in San Antonio. She was born July 14, 1945, in Hondo, the daughter of Marion John & Irene Mary Rica (Nietenhoefer) Muennink. She was preceded in death by her father. dorothy is survived by her daughter Kathilyn Marie Long and husband Cabin of Falmouth, MA; sons Brett Elvin Beard and wife Robby of Hondo, Loal Wayne Beard and wife Desirae of Houston; 7 grandchildren; sisters Kathryn Jane Rowell and husband Bob of Schertz, Marianne Joan Sandidge and husband George W. of Bandera, Rita Ann Mechler and husband Lindy of LaCoste; mother Irene Muennink; her childrens father Ken Beard of Hondo. The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Charles Parker was at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 11, at the New Fountain United Methodist Church. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
