Dottie Haegelin was born in Groveton, Texas August 14, 1917 and died in Winchester, VA., March 24, 2008. She was a resident of Hondo for 15 years with her husband, Joe Haegelin after his retirement, and then moved to Virginia to be near her daughter and her family. She is survived by her brother James Smith in Tyler, Texas, her daughter and son in law, Joan and Bill Anderson, and twin grandchildren, Gus and Louisa Anderson. Services will be held at the Hondo Cemetery June 7, 2008 at 11:00 am.
