E. Lloyd Kelley, DVM of Hondo, Texas, passed away August 18, 2003, at the age of 91. Dr. Kelley was a 1st Lt. in the Veterinary Det. of the 8th Cavalry prior to WWII. He also had a Veterinary Practice in the Hondo Area for 58 years. He was preceded in death by his parents E.V. & Birdie (Richey) Kelley, wife: Mary Yvonne (McGarry) Kelley and son: Robert Lloyd Kelley, grandson Timothy Lloyd Kelley and brothers: Ernest, and Fred Kelley. He is survived by his daughter: Gloria Kelley Burns and husband Jerry W. of Dallas, grandson Brian Kelley Burns and wife Aimee of Dallas and granddaughter: Julie Marie (Burns) Droesch and husband Patrick of Dallas; daughter-in-law: Jill Kelley of Hondo; granddaughter: Lisa Yvonne Kelley of Washington, DC; great grandson: Ethan Connor Burns. Visitation is scheduled at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday August 20. The Funeral Service will be at the Church of Christ in Hondo at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 21. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section, Hondo, Texas.
