Earline M. Watson was born on October 6, 1918, in Hondo, Texas. She was the only child of Earl Watson and Mary Buss Watson. She attended Hondo High School. Earline attended business college from 1936-1937 and moved to San Antonio where she worked until retirement as a medical records specialist at Brooks Army Hospital. Earline never married but dedicated a great deal of her adult life to supporting and caring for her mother. She loved her ranch outside Hondo and enjoyed having a few cattle and some land to hike on. She was an excellent gardener and shared cuttings from her flowers with neighbors and friends. She loved to travel and attended the World's Fair in New York in 1964 among many other scenic bus tours throughout the United States. Earline was very intelligent and enjoyed reading, studying the Bible and analyzing the stock market. She was an accomplished investor. Even though Earline had no children, she is remembered and survived by her Goddaughter, Jeannie, and the other surviving family of her dear lifelong friend, Florine Williams (Hartman) Irwin. She was always considered a part of their family. Thank you to all those who cared for her in her last years.
