Edilia Dominguez Rodriguez, age 85, of Hondo passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. A daughter of Francisco F. and Salome Heronima Hernandez Dominguez, she was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Hondo. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. Edilia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reymundo B. Rodriguez Sr.; sons, Reymundo D. Rodriguez Jr. and Lionel D. "Lonny" Rodriguez; granddaughter, Bonita Marie Rodriguez; and siblings, Raul Dominguez, Oscar Dominguez, Oralia Arcos, Elisa Arcos and Mary Esther Gonzales. Survivors include her son, Orlando G. Rodriguez Sr. of Hondo; daughter, Norma (Mark) Ricci of Charlotte NC; grandchildren, Celina Elizalde, Orlando Rodriguez Jr., Juan Gabriel Rodriguez, Yesenia Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Lionel Rodriguez Jr., Vanessa Rodriguez, Nick Ricci, Marco Ricci and Jose Alejandro Rodriguez; several great-grandchildren; twin sister, Hortencia Villa; nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
