Edith Lorene Benton, age 63, of Sabinal, passed away March 10, 2004. She was born on May 25, 1940, in Menard, TX, to David Earl & Lillie Belle (Perkins) Coleman. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lovis L. Benton, Sr.; brother: David Coleman; sisters: Lois Rowan, Evelyn Jackson. She attended Victory Baptist Church in Hondo. She is survived by her sons: Walter James Earl Benton of Sabinal, Lovis Lee Benton, Jr. and wife Teresa of Lake Stevens, WA; daughter: Sandra Lee Taylor and husband Robert of Uvalde; 8 grand children and 8 great grand children; sisters: Edna Mae Mosley of Kerrville, Erlene Bird of Temple; brother: Bill Coleman of Ballinger. The Graveside Service will be, Sunday, March 14, at 3:00 p.m. at the Sabinal Cemetery.
