Edward Eric Alfredson, age 88, of Hondo passed away Oct. 5, 2009, at a Kerrville nursing home. He was born Oct. 4, 1921, in Olympia, WA, the son of the late Eric J. and Minnie Mae (Rich) Alfredson. He was a WWII Army veteran and had a career as an aircraft mechanical engineer. He and his late wife, Ila, a former contributor to the Anvil Herald, were residents of the Lone Star Corral SKP Coop in D'Hanis. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Almsted and Sharon Lee Alfredson, grandson, Keith Almsted; and family friend, Leatha Gray of Hondo. No service is scheduled.
