Obituary

Edward Albert "Ed" Zadik Jr. of Natalia, 69, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018. Born Dec. 20, 1948, in San Antonio, he was the son of Edward Albert Sr. and Alice Lindsey Zadik. Ed was a Vietnam-era veteran, having served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and was very proud of the fact that his father was a survivor of the U.S.S. Arizona at Pearl Harbor. He graduated from St. Mary's University with a degree in acounting. He enjoyed hunting and intercoastal fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Yose; half-brother, Bill, and an infant granddaughter, Evelyn Gibson. Ed is survived by his wife, Kathleen Zadik; daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Eric Gibson) Zadik of Bulverde; son, Edward A. (Nadia) Zadik III; six grandchildren; half-brother, Earl; and the mother of his children, Patricia O. Zadik. Graveside service with military honors will be at 1:45 p.m., Thursday, Mar. 8, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio. Memorials may be made to any children's hospital.
