Elias Richard Alcaraz, age 60, of San Antonio passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016. He was born in 1956 in Hondo.He was the husband of Susan Montenegro Alcaraz and the son of Pascual and Lucia Alcaraz. Survivors also include his children, Mary Ann Escamilla, Brandy Wheeler, Carlos Gasca, Sherry'i Alcaraz, John Alvarez, Leah Silva and Christopher Silva; numerous grandchildren and his beloved dog, Lincoln; his sisters, Rachel Alcaraz, Becky Perez, Mary Rodriguez, Priscilla Alcaraz, Christina Barrios; and his brother, Gilbert Alcaraz. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., and the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. Mass will be Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Hondo, Texas. Pallbearers included Joe Anthony Perez, David Barrios, Ramsey Ramirez, Jonathan Castillo, Randy A. Ramirez, Robert A. Rodriguez Jr., and Dave Martinez.
