Elida Quintanilla Trevino, age 68, passed away on July 22, 2005 in Uvalde. She was born on March 18, 1937, in Hondo, Texas, the daughter of Ponciano & Maria (Garza) Quintanilla. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Ponciano Quintanilla, Jr., Hector Quintanilla, Mario Quintanilla; granddaughter Renea Marie Trevino. Elida is survived by her daughters Annie Rodriguez and husband Armando, Becky Cuellar and husband Hector, Bonnie Trevino all of Uvalde, Betty Flores and husband Greg of Heidelberg; sons Pete Trevino, Jr. and wife Angie of Uvalde, Albert Trevino and wife Martha of San Antonio, Ricky Trevino of San Antonio; sisters Odilia Garcia and Maria Rodriguez both of Hondo, Tita Ramirez of Idaho; brothers Alejo and Alejandro Quintanilla both of Hondo; 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Anthony Mendoza, was at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 28, at the Sacred Heart Catholic in Uvalde. The Burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
