Ella Blanche Meyer Doyle entered rest on May 3, 2007. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph F. Doyle Jr. and brothers Carlos and R.W. Meyer. She was born in Concan , TX. to John Edward and Mary Louise Wheeler Meyer on April 15, 1910. She is survived by sisters, Iris Sawyer, Mary Louise Condel; children, Joseph F. Doyle III and wife Sandra, Joella Kidder, John Michael Doyle and wife Kristine, all of San Antonio. Other survivors are grandchildren, Byron P. Doyle and wife Melissa , Craig R. Doyle and wife Maria Socorro, Brett L. Doyle, Alan J. Doyle, Joseph L. Doyle, John C. Doyle, Stephen M. Doyle and Katherine E. Doyle, Dennis L. Meyer, Lori A. Marcum, Samuel K. Kidder, eight great-grandchildren Alan J. Doyle Jr., Brandon P. Doyle, Joseph R. Doyle , Jeremy M. Doyle, Travis E. Doyle and Joshua J. Doyle, Leigh-Anne Wixon and Bryan E. Weaver. She was a member of the Inner Wheel, Auxilliary of the Texas Optometric Association, Delphian Round Table, San Antonio Audubon Society and Leon Valley Historical Society. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007, from 10 A.M. until 12 noon at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, Hondo, TX with Graveside Service to follow at Hondo Cemetery, Hondo, TX.
