Elsa Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2006, at the age of 53. She was born January 12, 1953, in Hondo, Texas, the daughter of Lorenzo "Red" & Isabel (Rodriguez) Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Elvira Garcia. Elsa is survived by her husband Joe Ortiz of San Antonio; son Rene Garcia and wife Michelle of San Antonio; five grandchildren; brothers Larry Garcia and wife Irma of San Antonio, Jerry Garcia of New Braunfels. The Rosary was Saturday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass, followed the Rosary, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers were John R. Castillo, Patricia Garcia Mares, Sylvia B. Garza, Rene Garcia, Sr., Oscar Garcia, Ramiro Garcia. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
