Elsie Jeannette Heath, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018, in Hondo, TX. She was 93 years old. Elsie, daughter of Robert and Florence Scharfenberg, was born on September 16, 1925, in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, Canada. She met Jack while he was in the Navy and they were married on November 7, 1947, and moved to Hondo where they lived for the next 71 years. Elsie was a devoted mother, was active in the St. Paul Lutheran Church and cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Elsie is survived by her husband, Jack; three sons, Raymond Mark (Cheryl), Craig (Judy), and Owen (Janine); two grandsons, David (Bridgette) and Sam (Amelia); five great-grandchildren, Wesley, Hayley, Raymond, Joshua and Clara. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; mother, Florence; and two sisters, Lorene and Gleniss. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hondo. Service will conclude at the church. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
