Elsie Marie Robbins Riddell of Hondo passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at the age of 86.

Born in Jourdanton, Nov. 13, 1937, she was the daughter of Henry Bartlett Robbins and Etheleen Petty Robbins.

Elsie was an educator and coach for 35 years, an avid quilter, and a dedicated wife, mother, Nana, Sissy and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Garland Robbins and Henry Robbins; sisters, Etheleen West, Josephine Culpepper, Virginia Robbins; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Culpepper, Pete West, Spike Maksche and Johnny Neal; and sister-in-law, Susan Robbins.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, George T. Riddell; daughters, Dee Ann Willman (Kurt) and Shauna Gail Weynand (Danny); sons, Charles Terry Riddell (Deborah) and Todd Bartlett Riddell (Cyndi); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, George Robbins, Edward Robbins (Eve) and James Robbins (Bertha); sister, Agnes Neal; sister-in-law, Ann Harvey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be Thursday, Aug. 29, 10:00 a.m., at Hondo Methodist Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

Pallbearers are Terry "T. J." Willman, Cody Riddell, Cade Weynand, Cole Lopez, Juan Cuadras and Tyler Mayo.
