Elvira G. Barrios of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2006, at the age of 84. She was born January 15, 1922, in Hondo, Texas, the daughter of Ysabel & Jesusa (Reyes) Guerrero. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ladislao L. Barrios. Elvira is survived by her sons Luis Barrios and wife Esperanza of San Antonio, Alvino Barrios and wife Teresa of Hondo, Arturo and wife Tomasa of San Antonio, Ignacio Barrios of Hondo; daughters Margarita Zamora and husband Domingo of Levelland, Amelia Sanchez and husband Juan, Olga Bernal and husband Geraldo; 27 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; Abundio Guerrero of Taft, Julio Guerrero of Hondo. The Rosary was Thursday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass, was at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers were Adam Rodriguez, Luis Barrios, Ricardo Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Arturo Barrios, Ramon Bernal, Jamie Sanchez, Bernardo Bernal. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
