Emilia Lozano Gauna of San Antonio, formerly of Yancey, passed away March 23, 2023, at the age of 79.

She was born near Bigfoot, Mar. 25, 1943, a daughter of Juanita Lozano.

She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Victoriano Gauna; son-in-law, Albert  Castillo; and siblings.

Survivors include her son, George Padilla (Jennifer); daughters, Lucy Castillo, Mary Martinez (Ben); Jane Castillo (Venancio) and Sara Gallegos; 25 grandchildren, many great- and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Mar. 28, 5 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel and will pause at 7 p.m. for recitation of the Rosary.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Mar. 29, 2:00 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Chapel, followed by interment at Yancey Cemetery.
