Erlinda Sarabia Rodriguez Guerrero of Yancey passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was 76.

Born in Yancey, Jan. 27. 1947, she was the daughter of Pedro Sarabia and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez Sarabia.

Erlinda was baptized at Immaculate Heart of Mary Mission in Yancey. She was a Yancey Tiger, Class of 1965.

She loved to travel and, while living in Southern California, worked in the Real Estate and Property Management business. She was a fan of mariachis and liked the occasional visit to the Casinos.

In her spare time, she was known for her "Granny's tamales." She was loved by all and will be deeply missed by her entire family as well as friends near and far.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jose Guerrero; daughter, Deborah Rodriguez-Furnish; and sister, Celia Pedroza.

Surviving are her son, Rami Neftali Rodriguez of Huntington Beach CA; daughter, Yesenia Guerrero Cordoba (Carlos) of Hondo; grandchildren, Justin Sumy, Jasmine Sumy (Juan Manrique), Joshua Sumy, Justine Sumy, Anthony Furnish (Marisa), and Christian, Carla and Gael Cordoba; sisters, Margarita Lacy Black and Elisa Tovar; and brother, Rafail Sarabia.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel, with Rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 21,  10:00 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo.
