Erna Lena Boggus of Yancey, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the age of 95 years. Erna was born on October 11, 1912, in Yancey, TX, the daughter of Willie & Annie J. (Bohmfalk) Faseler. She was a retired U.S.P.S. Postmaster. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Jefferson Boggus, sisters, Elsie W. Heiligman, Corine F. Wiemers; brothers, Alfred W. Faseler, Leroy A. Faseler; grandson, James Dale Stacey. Erna is survived by her son, Preston M. Boggus of Center Point; daughter, Carolyn L. Harris and husband Clyde of Yancey; son Norman Boggus and wife Betty of Green Forest, AR; daughter, Melba Kelley of Rosewell, NM; 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Viola L. Evans of Yancey, Dora Mae Gathright of Canyon Lake. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, at the Yancey United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Yancey Cemetery. The casket carriers were Randy Faseler, Randy Raymond, Ronny Heiligman, Jim Gathright, Alan B. Stacy, Clyde E. Harris, Jr.
