Ernest T. Gauna, IV of D'Hanis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 7, 2007, at the age of 24 years. Ernest was born on July 18, 1983, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Ernesto M. Gauna and Maria Dolores Torres Correa. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ernesto T. Gauna, III; sister, Bernice Marie Gauna; maternal grandparents, Estanislado & Eulogia M. Torres and Ernesto & Marcelina M. Gauna; aunt, Rosalinda Torres Hernandez; uncles, Armando Torres and Pedro Torres. Ernest is survived by his father, Ernesto M. Gauna of D'Hanis; mother, Maria T. Correa and husband Daniel of San Antonio; sisters, Melissa Ann Gauna of San Antonio, Gabriela Renee Gauna of Houston; nephew, Austin Gage Gauna of San Antonio; uncles, Everado Torres of Hondo, John Henry Torres and wife Janie of Devine, Ricardo Torres of Hondo, Daniel Torres, Ray Torres, Jesse Torres of IL, Juan Gauna of D'Hanis, Cruz Gauna and wife Sylvia of D'Hanis; aunts, Rebecca DeLeon of Austin, Mary Ruth Dziengel and husband Larry of IL, Gloria Grove and husband Stan of OR, Brenda Odell and husband Clarence, Maria Obregon and husband Jose of OK, Arlene Sauceda and husband Juan of D'Hanis, Diane Obregon and husband Julio of Yancey, Dominga Molina and husband Ernesto of Dallas. The Rosary will be at the Holy Cross Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at the Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers were Juan Gauna, George Leos, Cruz Gauna Jr., Joe Louie, Julio Obregon Jr. and Richard Lopez. Burial Service will follow at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
