Ernest Ray Walton of Sabinal, Texas, passed away July 17, 2004, at the age of 48 years, 10 months, 17 days. Ernest was born on August 30, 1955, to James Casper & Mary Lois (Burditt) Walton in Uvalde, Texas He was a rancher & a welder. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew: Scot Anthony Nuckles. Ernest is survived by wife: Cathy Ann (Verstuyft) Walton; daughters: Amy Elizabeth Walton of Blanco, Shawna Lee Walton & Michelle Lynette Walton both of Sabinal; sister: Barbara Jo Nuckles and husband Mike of Sabinal; brother: James Joseph Walton of Sabinal; numerous nieces and nephews; mother & father-in-law: Eugene & Millie Verstuyft of Sabinal; brother-in-law: Kenneth Verstuyft and wife Leslie of Sabinal; sister-in-law: Karen Hardin and husband Mike of Uvalde. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 5:25 pm Monday July 19, at the Sabinal Cemetery. The Graveside Service will be at 5:30 pm Monday July 19, at Sabinal Cemetery. The pallbearers are: Mike Hardin, Mike Nuckles, Kenneth Verstuyft, David Howard, Norman Suberg, Billy Mitchell; the honorary pallbearers are: Joe Boyd, Billy Riggs, Bobby Bendele, Eugene Verstuyft. Interment will follow at the Sabinal Cemetery.
