Ernesto D. Gauna of Yancey, Texas, passed away October 28, 2003, in Yancey, Texas, at the age of 75. He is preceded in death by his parents: Domingo and Sesaria (DeLeon) Gauna; wife: Marcelina (Martinez) Gauna; infant son: Ernesto Gauna; grandson: Ernesto Gauna III; granddaughters: Delia Gaytan & Bernice Maria Gauna; brother: Abelino Gauna; sister: Tomasita Sarabia. He is survived by his daughters: Maria Rosa Obregon of Tulsa, OK, Arlene Frances Sauceda of Dilley, Deanna Obregon of Yancey, Dominga Valdez of Dallas; sons: Ernesto M. Gauna, Jr., Juan E. Gauna, and Cruz Gauna all of D'Hanis; 26 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brother: Tomas Gauna of Yancey, Victor Gauna of Somerset; sister: Juanita Jaramillo of Austin, Louisa Reyna of Uvalde. The Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 pm Wednesday October 29, and the Funeral Mass will is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday October 30, both at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. The pallbearers are: Jose Louis Obregon, Richard Lopez, Fernando Lopez, Jr., Julio Obregon, Jr., Cruz Gauna, Jr., Ernesto Molina. Interment will follow in San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis, Texas.
