Ernesto Navarro, age 46, of Hondo passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. Born Oct. 14, 1968, in Winters, he was the son of Cruz and Rosa Gauna Navarro. He was a professional flooring installer. He is survived by his mother, Rosa Garcia; stepfather, Audensio "Lencho" Garcia; son, Kedrick Navarro, all of Hondo; brother, Carlos Navarro of Amarillo; and sisters, Nellie (Ricardo) Benavides of Hondo and Tina (James) Wood of Amarillo; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
