Born on April 23, 1951, in Corpus Christi, he was the son of Eliazar and Ermelinda Garza Hernandez.
Ernesto dedicated over two decades of service to his country, serving in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. His commitment to his nation and the values he held close were reflected not only in his distinguished military career but also in the love he had for his family and community.
