Esperanza Cavazos, of Agua Dulce, Texas was born April 23, 1928. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 30, 2010 at the age of 81. She was residing in Hondo, Tx. at the time of her death. Esperanza lived most of her life and worked at La Puerta Ranch. She had the pleasure of working under such ranch owners as Mr. Richard King, Jr., Mr. B. K. Johnson, and Mr. Butch Pressley and their families. She loved life on the ranch and took great pride in working for these families. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Diana and Joe Cerney of Hondo, Tx.; her sister, Delia Lopez of Agua Dulce, Tx.; grand-daughters, Jessica (Kevin) Lloyd of San Antonio and Ashley (Jason) Ciomperlik of Pleasanton; great-grandsons, Noah and Lane of Pleasanton and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, April 5, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Catholic Church in Agua Dulce, Tx at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Interment will follow in New Collins Cemetery in Alice.
