Esteban Rendon of Hondo, Texas, passed away February 2, 2006, at the age of 83, in Hondo. He was born August 3, 1922, in Hondo, the son of Juan & Leonarda (Guerra) Rendon. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Arturo Rendon; sister Theresa Sauceda, Guadalupe Sanchez; brothers Baldomero Rendon, Santiago Rendon; brothers-in-law Domingo Sanchez, Jesus Coronado. Esteban is survived by his wife Sara (Olivares) Rendon; daughters Delia Sanchez and husband David of San Antonio, Josie Rendon of San Antonio, Yolanda Escamilla and husband Martin of San Antonio; daughter-in-law Gloria Rendon of Hondo; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sisters Merced Rendon of Hondo, Elisia Coronado of Hondo; brother-in-law Frutoso Sauceda of Hondo; sister-in-law Dora Rendon of Hondo; aunt Vickie Rendon of Lockney. The Rosary was at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr Jeff Pehl, was at 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 4, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Jesse Coronado, Fortunato Delgado, Robert Rendon, Reynaldo Miranda, Eufrasio Castillo, Jr., Harvey Piedra. Interment followed in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
