Evelyn Joyce Griggs, 72, (formerly of Hondo) died unexpectedly Thursday, May 14, 2009, in an Austin hospital. Survivors include her sons Bruce Hayes, Michael Hayes, brothers Robert Heyen, Dennis Heyen, Kenneth Heyen and James Heyen. Evelyn is preceeded in death by her son Gary Hayes, father Leslie Heyen and mother Lillian Heyen. Her loving heart, fearlessness, and generosity inspires all who knew her. Memorial service will be at 1:00p.m. Saturday, May 23rd at New Fountain United Methodist Church.
