Felice Mendoza Dominguez 1926 - 2011 Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Felice Mendoza Dominguez, left her family and friends on February 12, 2011. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and family, Susanna and Steven Davis; Ernesto, Iris and Paloma Dominguez; Lorenzo, Lynn, Alex and Megahn Martinez; and Fernando Dominguez. Felice has joined her husband, Jesus "Chuy" Lugo Dominguez and daughter, Delma Delia Dominguez; her parents, Roman and Aurora Mendoza; brothers, Johnny, Alejandro and Robert; and sisters, Carmen and Debbie. Felice will also be rememberd by brother, Tony Mendoza; sister, Mary Mendoza; brothers/sisters-in-law, and many primos, nieces and nephews, comadres, and godchildren. Many friends in Hondo remember Felice as a young woman who participated in pageants along with her girl friends. She raised her three children and devoted many hours volunteering at Our Lady of Guadalue School to raise money to support the school and church. She loved to quilt and embroider and fashion crafts. Friends, godchildren, and relatives received quilts especially designed for them. As an active member of the Guadalupana Society at St. John's, she made the centerpieces and prizes for the monthly senior citizen luncheon for many years. Felice supported many church causes by baking special treats. During her active years, her family and friends received early morning calls wishing them a "happy birthday" as well as many Christmas goodies. Thank you to all those who visited our mother while she was at the Hondo Healthcare center, to those who offered prayers and well wishes, and to those who provided care and friendship throughout her life time.
