Floyd Ward of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 14, 2007, at the age of 84. He was born in Yancey, Texas, October 19, 1922, the son of Joseph Nathan & Lula May (Howard) Ward. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene E. (Wendland) Ward; brother, Robert L. Ward; great grand-daughter, Cheyenne Ward. Floyd is survived by his daughter, Nelwyn Borgens and husband Larry of Hondo; son, Lennis N. Ward and wife Debbie of Hondo; grand-daughter, Kim Borgens of San Antonio; grandson, Lance Ward and wife Kathryn of Hondo, Bart Borgens of San Antonio; great grandson, Josh Ward of Hondo; brother, Walter Ward of Andrews; sisters, Grace Sansom of Uvalde, twin Florine Faseler of Hondo. The Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home on Monday January 15, and the Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 16, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
