Frances Lucille Leinweber, 93, of Hondo, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014. Frances was born March 9, 1921, in Medina County, in the Elstone community near Hondo, to Theo G. and Hulda Schneider Wiemers. A lifelong member of the Methodist church, she attended and married her husband, L.J., at New Fountain Methodist Church and then became a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hondo until her death. A wonderful homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grand- and great- grandmother. She also worked with her sister-in-law, Florence Leinweber, as a hairdresser in Flossie's Beauty Shop in Hondo for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis John "L.J." Leinweber; son, Don Dwaine Leinweber; sister, June Fuos; brother, Franklin Wiemers; sister-in-law, Alice Frances Wiemers; brothers-in law, Jack Fuos, Jerome Schulte, William C. Meyers, C. A. (Mattie) Leinweber, Raymond (Gladys) Leinweber and Ervin (Florence) Leinweber. Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Tom Woytasczyk of Stockdale; grandchildren, Donna (Lance) Williams of San Antonio; Laura (Christopher) Hill of Helotes; and Lana Brennan of Fort Worth; step-grandchildren, Wesley (Deitrah) Woytasczyk of San Antonio, Douglas (Reba) Woytasczyk of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Westin Williams, Corbin Hill, and Jared and Avery Brennan; step-great- grandchildren, Emma and William Woytasczyk and Chloe and Cali Woytasczyk. She is survived by her two loving sisters, Laverne Schulte and Imogene Meyers, both of Hondo, and numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 9, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at First United Methodist Church, Hondo. Pallbearers are Dennis Mann, Michael Carter, James Leinweber, John Simmang, Christopher Hill and Wesley Woytasczyk. The family would like to thank Stockdale Residence and Rehabilitation and Guadalupe Regional Hospice in Stockdale, Texas, for the wonderful care given Frances in the past two years. The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church in Hondo, the Alzheimers Association, or a charity of your choice.
