Frances Mofield Long of Canyon Lake passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020. She was 79.

She was born July 12, 1940, in Hondo, the daughter of Henry Elroy "H.E." Mofield and Lydia Pearl Gerdes Mofield.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 33 years, Rev. Jessie A. Long; and her sister, Karen Kay Mofield.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Long of Bryan; daughter, Cynthia "Cyndi" Rollings of Martindale; four grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Norma Jean Schriever of San Antonio.

She will be laid to rest with a private graveside service at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22,  at Yancey United Methodist Church.
