Francis Marion Davis, Jr., Age 73 years, 5 months, and 23 days, of San Antonio, Texas, died on Sunday, October 10, 2004. He was born in Throckmartin, Texas on April 17, 1931, the son of Francis Marion & Elvera (Rothe) Davis. Francis is a US Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law S. J. McNabb, grandparents Mr & Mrs Louis Rothe and Mr & Mrs Fletcher Davis. Francis is survived by his daughter Helen McNabb of San Antonio; sons Francis M. Davis, III and wife Sandy of San Antonio, Matthew S. "Steve" Davis of San Antonio; 5 grandchildren, 1 niece, and 4 nephews; brother Rothe Davis and wife Patricia of Clinton, MS; aunt Lucy Davis of Hondo. The Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 13, the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The active pallbearers Matthew S. Davis, Robert R. Davis, Francis Davis, III, John Davis, Patrick McNabb. The honorary pallbearers were Travis McNabb, Rothe Davis, Franklyn Bless, Dean Pirkle. The burial will follow in the Hondo Cemetery, St. Johns Section.
