Francisca Piña Oranday, age 84 years, 0 month, and 5 days, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2005. She was born in LaCoste, on March 3, 1921, the daughter of Pablo & Ysabel (Garcia) Piña. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Lupe Salazar, Antonia Aldrete; sons Benny Oranday, Ernest Oranday. Francisca is survived by her husband Pedro G. Oranday; sons Pedro Oranday, Jr., and wife Gloria of Bandera, Oscar Oranday and wife Mary Elena of Pilot Point, Roberto Oranday and wife Gloria of Yancey, Jimmy Oranday and wife JoAnn of Hondo; daughters Dora Hernandez and husband Armando of Frisco, Erlinda DeLeon and husband Sebastian of Hondo, Lydia Hernandez and husband Sam of Celina; 28 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers Eduardo Piña of Blanco, Jose Piña and wife Eloisa of Hondo, Manuel Piña and wife Carmen of Comfort, Raul Piña and wife Mary of Hondo; sisters Cruz Aguirre of Hondo, Lucia Saucedo and husband Incencio of Castroville, Esperanza Barrios and husband Luis of San Antonio. The Rosary is at 8:00 pm Thursday, March 10, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Funeral Mass is at 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 11, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The burial will follow at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
