Francisco V. "Moyo" Cruz III, age 49, of Hondo passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011. Born June 25, 1962, in Hondo, he was the son of Francisco S. Jr. and Ramona (Vela) Cruz. He was a graduate of Hondo High School and was a long-haul truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Florencio, Jose and Jesus. He is survived by his wife, Jesusita "Susie" Cruz; stepchildren and their spouses, Peggy Ytuarte and Roger Garcia of San Antonio, Tanya Betancourt and Santos Esparza of Hondo, Crystal and Richard Diaz of Baytown, and Phillip Ramirez of Hondo; siblings and their spouses, Josefina and Eliazar Lozano of Austin, Betty and Martin Rodriguez of Memphis TX, Elia and Edward Mora and Roy and Elsa Cruz, all of San Antonio, Pablo and Sylvia Cruz of Sabinal; and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 2, 6 until 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel, with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Pallbearers were Manuel Betancourt, Santos Esparza, Joe Castillo, Erik Mora, Edward Mora Jr., Richard Diaz, Roger Garcia, and Kamon Suetrong. Honorary bearer Matthew DeLeon stood in place of Mikel Betancourt.
