Frank David Nehr Jr., affectionately known as David, age 57, of D'Hanis/Hondo passed away on April 12, 2025. He was born April 30, 1967, in Hondo, grew up in D'Hanis and settled down in Dunlay, Texas.

David was the beloved son of Frank D. Nehr, Sr. and Rebecca Ann Krenmueller Nehr.

After graduating from D'Hanis High School, he worked as a bookkeeper at the Bandera Bulletin in Bandera, Texas, and then worked as parts associate and inventory management at Washing Equipment of Texas at the Corpus Christi and San Antonio branches.

He loved classic cars such as his '67 Ford Mustang, action movies, collecting clocks and spending time with his loved ones. He was often known for his quiet, kind soul and will be greatly missed until such a time where we will see him again.

He now joins his father and his brother-in-law, Lynn Ray Martin, in eternal rest, while survived by his mother; sisters, Wanda Martin, Patricia Martin (Bruce), Theresa Squires (Ron), and Helen Nehr; brother, Joseph "Joe E." Nehr (Lana), numerous aunts, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church, D'Hanis, on Thursday, April 24, at 9:00 a.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. and Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, D'Hanis.
