Fred Duran Gonzales, age 49, of San Antonio passed away Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2008. He was born Sept. 2, 1958, in Toledo, OH, the son of Ramon Sr. and Esperanza (Duran) Gonzales. He was a warehouse laborer. Fred was preceded in death by his mother, Esperanza (Duran) Gonzales, and brother, Ramon Gonzales Jr. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Mary Padalecki; sons, Freddie C. Gonzales and Michael M. Correa; daughters, Nicole H. Gonzales and Erica M. Urrabas; and the mother of his children, Esmeralda Correa, all of San Antonio; five grandchildren; father, Ramon Gonzales Sr.; brothers, Ricardo Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Louis Gonzales and wife Hope; and sisters, Mary Cole and husband Rodney and JoAnn Gonzales, all of Toledo, OH. Visitation will be Tuesday, Mar. 25, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2 p.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with burial following at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section, with Fr. Ken Dakin officiating. The pallbearers were: Louis D. Gonzales, Wilbert Schimcek, Freddie Gonzales, Michael Correa, David Christopher Gutierrez, Michael C. Garza.
