Freddie Ray Jones, Age 73 years, 11 months, and 27 days, of Yancey, Texas, died on Saturday, October 9, 2004. He was born in Sipe Springs, Texas on October 12, 1937, the son of Melvin Gordon & Thelma (Trice) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Glenn Jones; grandson Brandon Vancleve. Ray is survived by his wife Rosalie (Bohmfalk) Jones, daughter Dorothy Sue Jordan and husband Michael of Corpus Christi; son George Ray Jones and wife Cindy of Hondo; daughter Paula Leatrice VanCleve and husband Irl of Catarina; six grandchildren; brother Harold Jones and wife Joyce of Abilene; sisters Marilyn Thompson and husband Bill of Hobbs, NM, Betty Amy and husband George of Odessa; sister-in-law Catherine Jones of Midland. The Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at the First Baptist Church of Yancey. The casketcarriers are Kevin VanCleve, Malcolm Watson, Donnie Bohmfalk, Rodney Jones, Randy Jones, Glenn Jones. The Honorary Casketcariers are Elmer Faseler, Preston Moebius, David Bohmfalk, Ronald Bohmfalk, Ron Bounds. The burial will follow at the Yancey Cemetery.
