Gary Edward Baker, 75, of Hondo passed away in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday, August 8, 2025.  Born July 9th, 1950, in Fresno, California, he was a beloved son of Lee and Ethel Schuehle Baker.

Throughout his life Gary embraced many paths.

He served six years in the U. S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic and achieved the rank of Sergeant E4.

Gary followed in his father's footsteps and was a union member of the Ironworkers of America in California.

He attended Fresno State University, where he studied law. He was a very successful investment advisor for Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Capital Federal Savings and Loan.

Gary left California and moved to Texas in 1995. He attended culinary school in Houston to become a chef. He also sold RVs before moving to the family ranch near Hondo to help are for his parents.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Ethel; and his brother, Karl Baker.

He is survived by his niece and her family, and numerous cousins.

A private service is planned.
