Gary Paul Brackeen, age 58, of Devine passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, in San Antonio He was born in Monahans, Oct. 12, 1950, son of Alvis and Marilyn (McBride) Brackeen. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Terry. He is survived by his wife, Elida (Valle) Brackeen of Devine; his mother, Marilyn Comacho of Jourdanton; son, Bobby Jay Brackeen of Devine; daughter, Sharon Lynn Brackeen of Bakersfield CA; daughter, Janet Marie Brackeen and Timothy Leal of Natalia; son, Michael Wayne Brackeen; daughter, Alycia Ann Brackeen and Gilbert Yanes; son, Travis Christopher Brackeen; and grandson, Christian, all of Devine; brother, Jerry Don "JD" Brackeen and Colinda of Ft. Worth; and nephew, Jeremy Brackeen of Ft. Worth. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, and Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, both at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Bigfoot. Interment will be at Longview Cemetery, Big Foot.
