George E. French, DDS, age 72, of Hondo passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. He was born Aug. 18, 1938, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, son of the late George H. T. French and Isabel Euphan Airth French. He served as a major in the U.S. Army Dental Core, served during the Vietnam War, and was a retired dentist. He graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1964 and practiced in Del Rio, Alvin, and Rosenberg. Survivors are his wife, Mary P. French of Hondo; son, Felipe Pena of Hondo; and sister, Christine French Beatty and husband Richard of Denton. A private service is planned.
