Georgia Mae (Haby) Heiligman, age 69, of Hondo passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2008. She was born in Rio Medina on Nov. 11, 1938, the daughter of Anthony Max "Tony" Haby and Lydia Barbara (Hardt) Haby. Georgia Mae was an LVN and a homemaker, and she and her family cared for the lawns of many Hondo home-owners in recent years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eleanor Tuck, June Haby and infant Doris Marie Haby; and brothers-in-law, Oliver Tuck and Raymond Heiligman. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Fritz Heiligman; son, Larry Heiligman; daughter, Nancy French and husband Brian; grandchildren, Colby, Kendall, and Jennifer; sister, Loraine Neuman and husband Wesley; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Mary Heiligman, Virginia Heiligman, and Mary Anne Feltner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary was held Monday, Oct. 13, and Funeral Mass was Tuesday, Oct. 14, both at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hondo. Interment was at Quihi Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Neuman, Anthony Tuck, Thomas Haby, Joey Neuman, Dwayne Mathis and Ken Tuck.
